Paris Baguette is a chain bakery, with multiple locations in both Maryland and Pennsylvania. It’s a South-Korean owned (ironic with the name, huh?) and offers a variety of sweet treats and drinks. I usually go to the one in Germantown, but there are many in the area!

The location in Germantown is conveniently placed, next to a gas station, grocery store, Home Depot, the USPS store, among more.
There is ample (free) parking in the lot and even when coming at busier times, there is usually parking right out front!
When you walk in, there are a few cases of pastries and goods. They have both sweet and savory items. You’ll first pick up a tray, liner and the tongs to grab what you’d like.
You’ll bring the tongs to the front when you pay and the cashier will take them from you.
Like pretty much every bakery I’ve talked about here in this blog, it’s a great place to get some work done (which is what I’m usually here for), except for the occasional chat with a friend. There’s free wi-fi and plugs to charge your devices as needed. I often sit on the bench area because that’s where most of the plugs are.

All the workers are very friendly, and before you ask- although the Paris Baguette is South-Korean owned, the employees do not reflect that, or at least not in the Germantown location. There are two Caucasian men who I’ve seen quite a bit, along with some Hispanic or Asian employees as well.
So the place is called “Paris Baguette” what makes it South Korean at all? The chain blends both French and South Korean baking techniques into their pastries, with mochi donuts as well as croissant style pastries.

I often come here on either the beginning or the end of the week to get some work done. If you’re lucky, you might just catch me here! I’ve had both the savory and sweeter items and if I were to pick a favorite, I would likely tell you any of the strawberry croissants which are made with fresh flaky croissants, strawberry and custard tucked in the middle. But honestly, I’ve never had anything here I don’t like. I’m not a picky eater, but personally- I think you’d have to be a VERY picky eater if you couldn’t find something you like here!
In addition to pastries and drinks they also have sandwiches, cakes and other goods.

I usually get a chai latte, but they have teas, lattes, espressos, smoothies and frappes, sodas, among a variety of other refreshments.
Do I recommend Paris Baguette?
Absolutely! I would say my only “complaint” which is very minimal is that the trays they give you are large, meaning if you’re sitting at a 2-seater table, it will take up almost the entire table. I suppose it’s better to have a large tray than customers needing to get multiple small trays, but it can be inconvenient when you only have one pastry and a drink, for example. Maybe it’s a marketing tactic to think you want more than you would normally get with a smaller tray? Or perhaps it’s just easier and more effective for Paris Baguette to just have one size tray than multiple. Mostly, I see two or more people here.
Other than that little pet peeve, yes! I love Paris Baguette (I guess I’d have to if I go once a week!) The food is delicious. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is conducive to productivity. Music is playing and the low murmur of customers talking. They also have a bathroom in the back, which is helpful especially if you’re staying a while.

perfect for a work session or a sweet treat.
Cheers Friends and Travelers!
