So I’ve actually gone here multiple times. And usually it’s someone else saying, “I know a great spot, let’s go here,” so it must be a great place!

La Poteria Local is a really cute place. It’s in a shopping center down an alleyway (not a creepy one, just an alleyway) so it can be hard to find at first, but the inside is really cute!

It’s usually pretty empty which is nice. It has kind of a BOHO/Columbian feel and has mostly drinks and empanadas, with some other pastries mixed in. The baristas are also pretty talented in latte designs, and both me and my friend got some cute lattes!

I got a chicken empanada and a chai latte and my friend just got a latte.

I have never had any issues at this place- at most, sometimes the accents from the baristas can be difficult to understand, but generally the language barrier isn’t too bad.

The drinks are delicious as is the food- I suppose I would their menu is limited, but it’s not like they advertise like they have a large one either. It’s a Columbian Coffee and empanada place, essentially.

Do I recommend La Poteria Local?

Absolutely! I think it’s a cute coffee store with a blend of talented baristas, BOHO decor and absolutely delicious empanadas. Too bad I can’t share the “taste” with you through this blog, but I think if we had the option of digitally sharing tastes and smells, well let’s just say I think it could get out of hand real fast, especially if it got into the wrong hands! 😉
