Tea mania is a health-conscious bakery and cafe, focusing in Asian-European pastries. Every day, they set out a new variety of baked books, pastries and brunch items.
They are located in Rockville, Maryland, not too far from Bubble Tea Cafe and the Silver Diner. There is ample parking in the back of this location which is a plus (if you know, you know! No parallel parking here!)
The cafe is cute, cozy and dare I say even cozier than Paris Baguette or Tous Les Jours. There is limited seating, and like other bakeries in the area, it offers free wi-fi and a serve-yourself buffet when it comes to choosing most pastries (excluding the cakes or more classic sweets.)
We went here for lunch and found the cutest nook to drink, eat- and oh! To people watch too, of course.

When visiting Teamania, you can expect to pay around $10-20, but I thought it was well worth the money!

A delightful pastry topped with fresh fruit and
paired with a refreshing bubble tea at Teamania Bakery & Cafe.
The pastry was flaky and soft. It was topped with cream and a range of fresh fruits: kiwi, grapes, strawberry, blackberry and I can’t recall what the orange fruit in the front was, but by looking at it, it looks like mango?
I also got a small mocha bubble tea.

It’s a perfect place to chill, wind down, relax and/or get work done.
Why People Come:
Especially during COVID, there was a lot of professionals moving to working from home. While of course there are pros to this, I also find a lot of cons to this; it can be hard to focus at home. Whether your partner is in the other room, your kids are laughing and playing, your pet is hounding you for attention, or it’s just the general distraction of comfort, going to a place where you it’s just you, your computer and your pastries can increase productivity and decrease distractions.
It’s also a great place to chat, network or catch up with friends and colleagues (which is what I was doing here). The elegant and sophisticated ambiance creates a friendly atmosphere, a perfect space for meeting up with others.
While there are other Asian bakeries in the area, I have found Teamania to be a top hit. The location, the access to parking, the coziness and the variety of foods and drinks was a huge hit for me.
Do I recommend Teamania?
I do! I have actually already recommended this to someone I know. I thought it was a great place to visit, it was quiet when we went and the cute Asian factor was definitely a plus. I really don’t have any cons- there’s parking, it’s affordable, quiet, free wifi… I can’t think of any complaints even if I tried!
